Turkey Bay OHV

About

Before we were Driftless Off-Road 4×4 officially, we were a group of off-roading and 4×4 enthusiasts headed for Kentucky’s Turkey Bay OHV. Like many of our Wisconsin Off-Road clubs, we joined in with another group – Greater MKE 4×4. While there was 2,500 acres to explore, we traversed only a quarter of the property in the three days we were there. Most of the time it was sunny, blue, perfect weather – even if one of our companions did flop on his side beginning what is now know as the “Fainting Goat Society”. Turns out on our second day, several of us wheeled the morning knowing there was rain coming that afternoon, only to be sheltered in the hotel’s basement as a tornado touched down 3 miles from the park. This is why you should come prepared for trail clean up! Jeeps were also able to snag a Badge of Honor while we were there and non-Jeeps showed up and served.
